Yes, you must arrive 20 minutes before your booked visiting time, by showing up at the ticket office at the Visitor Centre for registration.

 

No, to reach the caves you have to cross the historical village, which is a pedestrian-only zone. You can leave your car at the car park before the bridge on the left.

Dogs can only enter the external park and must be kept on a leash. They can’t go into the caves.

FAQ - TOURIST ROUTES

(karstic cave, prehistoric tecchia and archaeological cave museum)

During opening hours, booking is not required, but reservations will be given priority. If you arrive without a reservation, you will only be able to operate on the basis of the available spots remaining.

The guided tour of the caves on a tourist route lasts about 50 mins. 

With the same ticket you also have free access with unaccompanied tours of the prehistoric Tecchia and the Archaeological Museum of the Caves, for which we recommend leaving about 30 mins.

The cave tour is not physically demanding; however, entrance is permitted to people without heart problems and people who do not fatigue when walking (entrance is not allowed for people using crutches or wheelchairs, etc.…)

Proteus activity – Guided tour in the karstic cave: 10 eur/adult, 6 eur/person 6-10 years, 1 eur/person 4-5 years. Includes Bear activity.

Bear Activity: Unaccompanied tour of the Prehistoric Tecchia and the Archaeological Museum of the Caves: 6 eur/adult from 6 years old and over, 1 eur/person 4-5 years old. 

For organized groups, there is a gratuity for every 10 paying people.

Only shoes with good rubber soles or trekking shoes. No other footwear is allowed, in particular flip-flops, heels or wedges are prohibited. 

The minimum age for visiting the cave on a tourist route and the prehistoric Tecchia is 4 years of age.

Reservations are not required during opening hours, but reservations will be given priority. If you arrive without a reservation, you will only be able to operate on the basis of the available spots remaining.

The minimum age for the zipline is 10 years old.

A minimum height of 140 cm shall also be applied as well as a weight of between 30 kg and 120 kg. 

No, minors must always be accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for them.

Good rubber soles or trekking shoes are required. 

The harness must not touch bare skin, for this reason no skirts, shorts or tops that are too short are allowed. Long hair must be tied up.

FAQ - Caving Adventure

No, the equipment must be certified and inspected every year, so only the equipment provided by the operator must be used. The only exception is gloves: if you want, you can bring your own, but you must always have full finger gloves (no cut gloves for bicycles or for the via ferrata).

No, minors must always be accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for them.

The minimum age for the caving adventure is 10 years old.

A minimum height of 140 cm shall also be applied as well as a weight of between 30 kg and 120 kg.

FAQ - Climbing
